THEA line was launched shortly after Macabre Gadgets was founded in 2012 as a result of our personal affection for the subject. Admiration for the culture and art of classical antiquity led us to explore this area more deeply through our creative process. After all, we are as much sculptors as we are jewellers. There is no better area where one can combine these two universes: sculpture and jewelry. The result is a mythological jewelry line inspired by classical sculpture, Ancient Greek and Roman art. This line focuses on sculptural jewelry by reinterpreting fragments of something older—objects marked by time, erosion, and memory, echoing ancient heroes and gods like Aphrodite, Medusa, Zeus, and Heracles (known as Hercules in Roman mythology).

Though this subject might seem remote from the concept of the Macabre, our mission with this line of jewelry is no different—we explore beauty beyond convenient boundaries. Let us show you the darker side of familiar stories from ancient mythology. They are eerie, bizarre, and very dark indeed.

They are complex; however, the particular objects that have survived from Ancient Greece and Rome still define our modern perception of that era. We base our visual language on these artefacts: sculpture, pottery, coins, and architecture, mosaics and frescoes. By working with the language of these familiar relics, we re-tell the stories through the Macabre Gadgets perspective.

In ancient Greece, sculpture was not merely decorative—it was a way of understanding the human body, divinity, and proportion. Marble figures embodied both perfection and fragility, often surviving only in fragments: a torso, a head, a gesture frozen in time.

Working with marble and sterling silver, THEA brings elements of classical antiquity into wearable form, reimagining them not as something distant, but as something intimate. Each piece is a fragment of a marble statue, referencing the human body central to Ancient Greek and Roman sculpture.
