A continuous string of 3mm round glass pearls runs the full length of the choker. At regular intervals, a single 6mm pearl is knotted directly below — dropping one level, then returning to the upper string. The pattern repeats fifteen times across the piece.

Two rows, one rhythm. The upper string is unbroken; the lower edge is punctuated. No silver between the pearls — only pearl against pearl, and the periodic drop that gives the piece its structure.

Pearl necklaces of this construction — a continuous strand with suspended drops — appear in ancient Mediterranean adornment as early as the Hellenistic period. The form is old. The material is the same.

Closes with an adjustable multi-size sterling silver chain and a small triangular Macabre Gadgets charm.
