The Athena pendant by Macabre Gadgets is a handcrafted mythological marble pendant in sterling silver — a complete sculpted head of Athena, goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, and craft, wearing her iconic helmet.

Born fully armoured from the head of Zeus, Athena was described by Homer as “glaukopis” — bright-eyed, stormy-eyed, owl-eyed. Athena represents intelligence, strategy, and controlled power — disciplined strength rather than raw force.

The pendant is weighty and sculptural — a complete head, not a relief. The helmet is pushed back, revealing her face fully: strong features, dark mysterious eyes, strands of hair falling on each side. The helmet itself has the iconic silhouette of classical Greek statuary — its crest decorated with Hellenistic floral motifs, its surface worked with a snake detail referencing one of Athena’s most enduring symbols. The piece reads as a fragment of a small sculpture — as if unearthed, then adapted: a jeweller has set a large sterling silver ring into the top of the helmet so the head can be suspended from a chain. Found. Worn.

Each pendant is individually handcrafted. Natural variations in the marble mean no two pieces are identical.
