The Silver Zeus ring by Macabre Gadgets is a premium handcrafted sculptural marble ring in sterling silver — the face of Zeus, king of the Olympian gods, set on a massive band decorated with the Corinthian column capital.

Zeus — king of the Olympian gods, lord of thunder and lightning, sovereign of the cosmos — stands at the centre of Ancient Greek mythology. Son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, he overthrew his father to establish the Olympian order and became the supreme authority over gods and mortals alike. His presence in ancient art is one of absolute authority: bearded, powerful, unmistakably divine.

The band that carries his face is no less considered. The Corinthian order — the most ornate of the three classical orders of Ancient Greek architecture — is distinguished by its elaborate capital of acanthus leaves and small volutes. It became the defining architectural language of imperial Rome, appearing in the Temple of Zeus in Athens, the Pantheon, and the great monuments of classical antiquity. Here it wraps the band of the ring: a heavy, architectural structure that gives the piece its sculptural weight and presence. The face of Zeus above it reads as a sculptural fragment set into a column — as if the ring itself were a piece of a temple.

Executed in bonded marble and sterling silver, the ring combines traditional craft with contemporary materials to achieve the effect of an ancient artefact — something unearthed rather than newly made. The marble face is individually hand-carved; natural variations in the stone mean no two pieces are identical.
