The Faun ring by Macabre Gadgets is a handcrafted sculptural marble ring — the head of the Faun, known to the Greeks as the Satyr, carved entirely in bonded marble.

The Faun — a half-human, half-goat creature from Roman mythology — is associated with nature, instinct, and untamed vitality. Known to the Greeks as the Satyr, he is the companion of Dionysus, god of wine and ecstasy, and the embodiment of the forces that resist civilisation. Associated with Pan — god of the forest, of shepherds, and of primal desire — he exists at the boundary between the human and the wild: a balance between innocence and instinct, between human form and something more primal.

The ring captures his face — expressive, beastly, and unmistakably alive — with the curving horns carved directly from the same bonded marble as the face. The result is a single sculptural object: no metal setting, no separate elements, just the weight and texture of stone shaped into a face that has been staring back at us for two thousand years. On the reverse, the Macabre Gadgets maker’s mark in sterling silver — a hallmark in the tradition of ancient craftsmen.
