The piece is worked with ornamental sterling silver detailing: a sculptural skull form, sharp teeth gripping an ornamental ring. The design borrows elements of Japanese Hannya masks — teeth, sharp ornamentation, and dramatic expression — translated into a sculptural form. The relief reads like a fragment of an abandoned shrine: sharp, precise, ceremonial.
