The Phallus charm by Macabre Gadgets is a handcrafted sculptural charm in sterling silver, inspired by one of the most enduring symbols of the ancient world — the phallic form as apotropaic talisman of Ancient Rome and Greece.

The phallic symbol was among the most widely used protective symbols in Ancient Rome and Greece — worn as a talisman against the evil eye, carried by soldiers, and displayed in homes and public spaces as a sign of protection, fertility, and divine favour. It was not considered obscene but divine — a symbol of strength, luck, and sacred protection. It appeared on the walls of Pompeii, on Roman military standards, and in domestic shrines across the ancient world.

This charm renders that symbol in hand-carved bonded marble, set in sterling silver with an integrated lock fitting. The sterling silver lock (20×10mm) allows the charm to be attached to bracelets, necklaces, or chains — worn as a standalone talisman or layered with other pieces. Available in three marble colours: white, black, and terracotta. The terracotta variant is the most archaeologically resonant — referencing the fired clay of ancient Roman votive objects and the warm tones of Pompeian wall painting.

Each charm is individually handcrafted from bonded marble. Natural variations in the stone mean no two pieces share the exact same surface pattern.
